Although TRC is not a game lodge, elephants can often be seen in the
Zambezi National Park opposite and hippos are regularly seen and
heard. There is rich bird life in the area, including several rarer
species such as the African Finfoot, the Half Collared Kingfisher,
the African Skimmer and the Collared Palm Thrush. For bird lovers
there are nature trails around the lodge, boat cruises and island
walks. Tiger fishing is an unforgettable challenge for keen
fishermen, particularly during the warmer months. There are various
varieties of Bream that are also a good catch. For the more
sporting, try catching them on fly!
We do offer game drives into the nearby Mosi Oa Tunya Game Park
where there is an abundance of game but sadly no big cats. There is
a good chance of spotting white rhino on these trips. Other game
that can be seen are: elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, wildebeast
and impala.
